Letting Go Bundle

In this special bundle of Ruminate back issues, we've gathered work that explores scaling back, letting go, and making room in our minds and hearts. Hermann Hesse once said, “Some of us think holding on makes us strong; but sometimes it is letting go.” Like Hesse, these stories, poems, and art embrace the strength in letting go.

This bundle features poetry about finding strength and rebirth like Scribe by Laura Sobbot Ross, reviews of books that teach letting go, like Shannon Huffman Polson's book,  North of Hope: A Daughter’s Arctic Journey, and nonfiction on finding balance, like D.L. Mayfield's Blessed Are the Pure in Heart.

Our editor Brianna Van Dyke writes in her editor's note for Issue 32, "Clearing out gives us the chance to pay attention, a blank page...a reminder of what to keep and what to toss, room to dance in the kitchen, perspective, an openness to change, a floor to sweep." We hope you'll join us in exploring the gifts of scaling back and letting go.
