Ruminate's Annual Chewing on Life, Faith, and Art Weekend

Join us for our second annual Chewing on Life, Faith, & Art Weekend!
This year, author Tony Woodlief will be coming to visit, speaking at our Faith and Arts Dinner (a fundraising dinner to support the work of Ruminate) on Sept. 9th at 6:30 pm and leading an all day writing workshop on Sept 10th. Please contact us if you'd like to come to the Faith and Arts Dinner. Join us for the Ruminate Writer's Workshop: Stumbling Toward Writing True, led by Tony Woodlief will be held from 10-4 on Sept. 10th  at the beautiful Primrose Studio at the Reservoir Ridge Natural Area in Fort Collins. Enjoy two sessions with Tony Woodlief on the practice of trying to write true--in whatever medium you work in. We'll have individual writing time as well as optional mini-sessions from the Ruminate Staff on finding a publishing home for your work and discovering inspiration in Scripture through Lectio Divina. The workshop is open to everyone, regardless of experience. Proceeds from this workshop will benefit the publication of Ruminate and help us continue supporting and publishing the work of over 70 artists and writers each year. The suggested donation for the workshop is $85 and includes lunch. The student rate is $45 and includes lunch (with a valid student ID). We also have one scholarship that we are awarding, which covers all the costs of the workshop. To apply for the scholarship, please contact us and tell us why you'd like to come. The maximum number of participants is 25, so don't delay in signing up! If you can't attend the Writer's Workshop this fall, check out our online writer's workshops with fiction workshops, poetry workshops, and nonfiction workshops You can also join us at 5:30 on Sept. 10th for a Reading and Book Signing from Tony Woodlief. The reading is free and open to the public. Enjoy local art and hear Tony read from his book "Somewhere More Holy" at the Old Stone Gallery at Grace Church in Old Town Fort Collins.
